Is it just me, or are pomegranates the most beautiful color ever? The further I go in my plant-based diet journey, the more I discover how beautiful whole foods are. It’s kind of amazing how small lifestyle changes — like eating more fruits and vegetables, or choosing clean, safe beauty products — can change your life in major ways!
Today, I am so excited to share a vegan pomegranate berry smoothie recipe. It’s filled with lots of delicious ingredients — great for your health and wellness! Pomegranates are not only really pretty, but they also offer a wide variety of health benefits. According to Dr. Fuhrman, author of Eat for Health and Eat to Live:
“Much research has shown that pomegranate’s potent antioxidant capacity provides protection against heart disease, cancer and cognitive impairment.”
Vegan Pomegranate Berry Smoothie Recipe
- 1 ½ Cups of Water
- ¼ Cup, Pomegranate Seeds
- ½ Cup, Frozen Blueberries
- ½ Cup, Frozen Strawberries
- 1 Banana
- 1 Teaspoon, Flax Seed
- 1 Handful, Spinach or Kale
- Add all ingredients to your blender. (I use the Vitamix, because it finely blends all of the ingredients!)
- Blend. (On the Vitamix, I use the smoothie setting!)
